Only 3 miles not feeling very good today.  My PF is bugging again and everything just feels tight.  I really think I could use a massage.

Woke up at 6 so decided to go for a run this morning.  I usually don't do morning runs much during the school year, but did get out this morning for 5 ran over to the ball fields and back. Legs still tight and took forever to warm-up.

This week has been a struggle trying to get my runs in, been pretty busy with teaching driver's ed every night.  It hasn't helped that my feet and legs have been bothering me.  I didn't feel that great this morning, but still glad I got up and did 6.  I just ran easy over to Hurricane and back.I got a new pair of Asics Landreth which were nice to run in.

La Verkin Loop 3 easy miles, planning on more miles this afternoon, no driver's education class today yeah!

10 miles this evening.  I did a 5 mile tempo in the middle of the run.  I did this tempo on a pretty flat, fair course.  Started on the state road at the real estate sign after a 2 mile warm-up from my house.

1-6:08 on state road 9 and then over to 400 South

2-6:15 out on 180 east

3-6:20 out past my school, this mile has a little bit of uphill

4-6:07 pretty nice flat mile here

5-6:21 I had to slow down some crossing 700 west.

I thought about doing 6 but decided to stop at 5.  My legs have been tight all week, and I'm planning on running long tomorrow.

31:16 (6:15 average)

I was actually pretty please with this workout and think it will be a good tempo route in the future.  Also in the future I plan on adding 1 more mile basically putting me right back at where I start the tempo, so that should work out good.

I did 3 miles easy cool-down home.  On the way home I ran into John Stucki, which led to some interesting conversations.

Ran down the marathon course this morning with Bill, James, and Steve.  I really didn't want to run the course because I don't like it much, but it is nice with a lot of downhill, so it makes for a good training run.  The last time I ran the course was during the marathon last fall which didn't turn out very good.  In fact seems like lately I've been able to run much faster on training runs compared to the actual race day on that course.

This morning we started up in Veyo and did the first 4 miles pretty easy, then Steve and I speed up a bit.  Bill took off from the start.  We stopped at Diamond Valley for water and I took a Cliff Shot, then I decided to do some tempo miles even though I did a 5 mile tempo run last night.

1-5:43

2-5:53

3-5:57- Caught Bill by the bottom of Winchester

4-6:47 Easy up through Winchester

5-6:04

6-5:54

7-6:10

8-6:13

Once I hit town I stopped and waited a few minutes for the other guys.  Steve came flying by pretty fast, he was doing a 10 mile tempo.  James also was running pretty fast, so he decided to pick it up more than he was planning on originally.  Bill and I ran a few easy miles, then picked it back up the last mile to the finish line.

The run was a little short of 20, so I added a little when I got home.

Ended up with a 6:52 average which I was pretty happy with.  Also happy that I got in a longer run and a decent week of training considering being pretty busy right now.
