This morning I decided to run the Utah Summer Games 10K. The last time I did this race was in 2008 and I ran 34:53 (5:36). Well the last 7 years have not been good to my running times. Today I was almost 10 minutes slower. However, I'm glad I decided to race and this gives me a good starting point for my summer of training.
1 mile warm-up with Scott
1- 6:38- Good start lots of people took off really fast, so I was happy I stayed under control.
2-6:27- Still feeling pretty good and passing quite a few people
3-6:44- Another good mile
4-6:52- This mile I started struggling, and was really wishing this race had only been a 5K
5-7:42- Stopped at the aid station and walked for awhile.
6-7:25- The last mile was a struggle.
