1 hour of basketball this morning

6 miles this evening.  Ran over past Hurricane City park, then up to the ball fields then home.  Averaged 7:55.  The PF was hurting which is a bummer.

Do you guys play full court and are you on a team?

From Dustin on Fri, Oct 08, 2010 at 13:45:27 from 204.113.48.131

Full court usually 4 on 4. Nothing too structured, just some guys from church. I'll play in city league occasionally, but most of the time it is just low key pick-up games with the church guys in the mornings. It is nice because they are a totally different group than my running buddies and also different from the people I work with, so I guess you could say I have quite a few different social groups that I do things with.

Back to running. I'm looking forward to doing the Snow Canyon Half on Nov. 6th. The goal is going to be to try to just go out and break 1:20 and have a fun time.

Dustin you have that time easily in you. What I like is about how you approach running in a way that it doesn't affect everything else in life.

That's something I've learned through my accident. That running can't be an absorbing factor in life.

You just keep plugging away each year and fight off whatever comes your way and still run. Right there proves you will meet your goals.

Have you ever used the sock?

From Dustin on Fri, Oct 08, 2010 at 23:43:17 from 209.33.192.10

Vis- I tried the sock once, but tore it off in the middle of the night, couldn't stand it.

I've had some success wearing these in my everyday shoes--http://www.heel-that-pain.com/--and backing off the mileage a bit.
